Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Materials Manager to oversee material planning, inventory control, and logistics in our manufacturing operations. You will ensure that materials, components, and consumables are available at the right time, in the right quantity, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. The role requires strong organizational skills, supply chain insight, and the ability to balance operational execution with continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage materials management, including planning, purchasing coordination with other departments, inventory, and logistics.
Develop and execute material plans to support production schedules and customer demand.
Ensure material availability while minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence.
Maintain accurate inventory records, traceability, and compliance with ISO 13485 and GMP requirements.
Implement and manage inventory control systems, cycle counts, and stock accuracy processes.
Collaborate with Sourcing, Production, and Quality to secure compliant and reliable material supply.
Optimize material flow and warehouse operations for efficiency and safety.
Support new product introductions with material planning and readiness.
Monitor KPIs such as inventory turns, material shortages, and stock accuracy.
Drive process improvements and digitalization initiatives in materials management.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience in materials management, preferably in medtech, pharma, or other regulated industries.
Strong knowledge of inventory management, MRP/ERP systems, and warehouse operations.
Understanding of ISO 13485, GMP, and traceability requirements.
Experience with lean manufacturing and supply chain optimization.
Analytical and structured mindset with strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, scaling company environment.
